The polysaccharide fractions of Artemisia japonica and A. japonica var. macrocephala

Abstract

|
|
Polysaccharide fractions from the leaves of Artemisia japonica (JIP) and Artemisia japonica var. macrocephala(SIP) were extracted and purified by DEAE Sepharose CL-6B ion exchange chromatography and Sephadex gel filtration (Sephadex HR S-300). The molecular weights of 8 fractions were determined by HPLC using standard dextrans, and the quantitative compositions by TLC and GC.
